Just Transition Commissioner – Expressions of Interest – Closed

The Commission was looking for expressions of interest from independent experts in the field of rural development. This EOI call closed on 12 December.

The evaluation of expressions of interest is currently in progress. 

The Just Transition Commission is now looking for expressions of interest from suitably qualified independent experts for appointment to the Commission with an expertise in rural development.

Expressions of interest should be emailed to jtc@dcee.gov.ie no later than 3pm Friday, 12 December 2025 accompanied by:

  1. Cover letter (no more than 2 pages)
  2. Name, contact details and occupation of 2 referees, and
  3. Curriculum Vitae (no more than 4 pages)

Please read the Expressions of Interest booklet before submitting an application, with particular attention to Role specifications.

Appointment to the Just Transition Commission – Call for Expressions of Interest

One successful candidate will be appointed for a 3-year term to serve on the Just Transition Commission. Appointments to the Commission are made by the Minister for Climate, Energy and the Environment with Government approval.
