The Just Transition Commission’s submission to the Climate Action Plan 2026 consultation sets out recommendations to ensure that fairness is embedded across Ireland’s climate policies. It calls for just transition to become a strategic objective of climate action, supported by stronger governance, meaningful public participation, robust evidence and accountability, so that the benefits and costs of the transition are shared fairly across society.
